Built over an existing 1960s perimeter foundation and subfloor, the steel structure within this beachfront residence is concealed to create the illusion of a floating roof and allow for clean lines and detailing. Working with the existing structure and site levels required careful collaboration with the architect to ensure the structure blended the old and the new together seamlessly.
